Tex Ritter encounters a man named Fury, an English lawyer who has been imprisoned and forced to sign documents by a villain threatening his life. After escaping the dungeon, Fury goes missing, prompting Tex to investigate at a local ranch. There, Tex learns that Fury's brother rode with the outlaw Black Mask and was killed by the gang; Fury seeks revenge on the Black Mask and his men. The story culminates in a confrontation where Tex helps defeat the Black Mask and his gang, leading to the recovery of stolen gold and Fury's redemption as he agrees to serve the law rather than pursue vengeance.

The Death Ranch
13 pp · Western-Frontier

Tex Ritter encounters a British solicitor named Reginal Worthingham aboard a train and helps him fend off bandits, earning the man's gratitude and friendship. When Reggie asks for Tex's help locating Lord Weltham in Sulphur Valley to deliver an inheritance, the two set out together—only to find the lord acting strangely evasive and hostile, spurring Tex and Reggie to investigate what's really going on at the peculiar castle-like ranch. As Reggie explores the property alone the next morning, he discovers signs of something sinister happening inside, setting the stage for Tex's quick trigger-finger to come into play.

Gooseberry Goof
1 pp · Humor

Loonie Les finds himself in a bewildering predicament near some gooseberry bushes, and his confusion leads to a hilariously mistaken conclusion about what he's just eaten. This single-page gag plays on the absurd logic of a befuddled character jumping to the wrong conclusion in the most comedic way possible.

The Killer Bait
12 pp · Western-Frontier

When prairie ranger Tex Ritter goes undercover to infiltrate the Black Mask's outlaw gang, he finds himself caught between his duty to stop a ruthless killer and the brutal crimes his new "brothers" are planning. Forced to participate in a stagecoach robbery to prove himself, Tex must walk a razor's edge as the Black Mask schemes something far deadlier—and Tex's cover threatens to crack under the weight of what he's asked to do. With innocent lives hanging in the balance and suspicion closing in, Tex has to rely on his wits and his guns to survive long enough to bring down the most dangerous outlaw in the West.
