The Mandarin unleashes his Ultimo robot and then tries to kill Tony Stark. Stark is saved by his protective chest device which has served as a shock-proof vest. He dives into the moat to retrieve his brief case containing his Iron Man armor. An enraged Ultimo routs the invading Chinese soldiers from last issue. Iron Man, hopelessly outmatched, tries to stop the giant robot's rampage. Senator Byrd, believing that Stark showed contempt of Congress by not showing up for his court hearing, closes down Stark Industries.
