Swamp Thing: The Bronze Age Omnibus #[nn]
☆ Be the first to reviewThis massive omnibus collects the earliest Swamp Thing stories from the Bronze Age, beginning with the character's debut in House of Secrets #92 and continuing through his first solo series and early adventures. It includes the work of creators like Len Wein and Bernie Wrightson, who established the moody, horror-tinged tone that defined the original Swamp Thing mythos before Alan Moore's later reinvention. The volume gathers material from the 1970s and early 1980s, presenting a comprehensive look at the character's formative years in the DC Universe.
Swamp Thing: The Bronze Age Omnibus #130.99 (2017) kicks off with a tense, atmospheric tale where Matt and Abby are captured and brought to the lair of the resurrected Nathan Ellery. With the help of the Swamp Thing, they must navigate deadly traps and confront Ellery’s alliance with a desperate scientist wielding a mind-destroying machine—before it’s too late. Written by David Michelinie and illustrated by Nestor Redondo, with vivid colors by Tatjana Wood and Digikore, the story’s haunting mood is matched by Karl Kerschl’s striking cover.
