About this Collection
This volume collects Superman: The Man of Steel #0, #28–31, and #34–35, featuring John Byrne's final issues on the series. The stories include the wedding of Lois Lane and Clark Kent, the return of the Eradicator, and a confrontation with the villainous Silver Banshee, all set during the post-Crisis on Infinite Earths era of Superman's history.
In "To Laugh and Die in Metropolis," Superman and Big Barda find themselves trapped in a bizarre and humiliating predicament when Sleez, wielding the Mega-Rod, forces them to perform in a pornographic film for Grossman Pictures. Just as things reach their breaking point, Mister Miracle arrives to intervene, stepping in with his signature flair and precision. Written and illustrated by John Byrne, with inks by Keith Williams and colors by Tom Ziuko, this 2007 issue features a cover by Jerry Ordway that captures the absurd tension of the moment.
