In the quiet aftermath of a charity baseball game, Superman’s home run streaks toward the moon—only to trigger a chain of events that pulls him into a deadly mystery. When Lana Lang is kidnapped by an insectoid force with ties to Lex Luthor, Superman follows a trail of moondust to a hidden lunar cavern, where he discovers the Insect Queen rising in a form both terrifying and eerily familiar.

In "Insect Queen Part Two: Gossamer Wings," the new Insect Queen reveals her true purpose to Lana as she flees through an ancient LexCorp lunar base, now overrun by a hive built atop the ruins. Superman, tracking her to the moon, is overwhelmed by swarms of alien insects and taken to the queen, who seeks to harvest his Kryptonian genes. Meanwhile, back on Earth, Chris Kent’s condition worsens as the red-sun watch on his arm swells, forcing Lois to remove it—triggering a sudden, explosive release of energy that tears through the building.

In "Insect Queen Part Three: Moonlight & Victory," Superman, imprisoned on the moon by the Insect Queen, uncovers her chilling use of his DNA to breed super-soldier ants. With Lana and the moon base crew watching, he fights to regain his strength, only to face a swarm of engineered foes in orbit—led by the Insect Queen herself—before turning the tide with a clever trap and a final, decisive strike.

In "Shadows Linger Part One: Bright Tomorrows," Clark takes Lois and Chris Kent—his adopted son, who carries the legacy of Lor-Zod—home to their rebuilt apartment, where a hidden door leads to the Fortress of Solitude. As Superman works to cure Mon-El’s lead poisoning and learns more about Daxam, his efforts are interrupted when Paragon, a villain long imprisoned by the Justice League, tracks him down and kidnaps him. The ensuing fight takes them to the Fortress, where Superman prepares to use the red-sun watch—but is stopped by the unexpected arrival of the Priest-Elders of the Protonic Flame, sent from Daxam with their own agenda.

In "Shadows Linger Part Two: The Long Road," Superman and Paragon face a new threat when the Priest-Elders of the Protonic Flame, emissaries from Daxam, arrive seeking Lar Gand—only to be met with warnings about the dangers of lead poisoning. With tensions escalating and the Daxamites unleashing their ultimate weapon, the newly introduced Galactic Golem, Paragon and Superman must set aside their differences to stop the machine from destroying Earth. As the battle pushes beyond Metropolis, the stakes rise and old alliances are tested in a fight that will leave both heroes changed.
