A grinning, eerily transformed Superman looms menacingly over Jimmy Olsen and Lana Lang on this unsettling 1964 cover, while a pair of grotesque demons — freed from a glowing Pandora's Box at their feet — cavort gleefully around him. The cover dialogue makes the stakes deliciously clear: these diabolical creatures have somehow turned the Man of Steel into a super-demon, leaving Jimmy and Lana looking understandably terrified. Curt Swan and George Klein bring a wonderfully eerie energy to the scene, making this issue of Superman's Pal, Jimmy Olsen a standout slice of Silver Age DC strangeness.
