After Superman accidentally causes Professor Grail's experimental teleporter chair to explode while Lois is sitting in it with his x-ray vision, he sees visions of a ghostly Lois. But Lois communicates through Jimmy's new typewriter to let Superman know that she is trapped in the fourth dimension and can be returned by the pull of a lever in Professor Grail's lab.
