Superman's Pal, Jimmy Olsen #58

From 1962, this DC gem features a wonderfully absurd Silver Age setup right on Curt Swan and George Klein's cover: Jimmy Olsen, dressed in tribal costume and holding a Superman voodoo doll, confidently declares his "voodoo power is bunk" — while a visibly pained Superman flies overhead, reacting as if the pin-jabbing is anything but harmless. Perry White and Lois Lane look on from the background, skeptical witnesses to what promises to be a delightfully offbeat adventure. Swan and Klein deliver their signature clean storytelling in a single image that makes it impossible not to flip the page.
