☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis collection brings together the core issues of the 2005-2006 'Infinite Crisis' event, a major DC Comics crossover that served as a sequel to the 1985 'Crisis on Infinite Earths.' Written by Geoff Johns with art by Phil Jimenez and others, the story follows the return of the original Superman, Superboy, and other classic characters as they confront a world that has strayed from its heroic ideals, leading to a universe-altering conflict. It collects the seven-issue miniseries along with the 'Infinite Crisis Secret Files & Origins' one-shot.
In "Heaven," two Supermen clash not just in battle, but in identity, as their fight reveals haunting alternate lives—each a reflection of the other's choices. One world shows a Superman who rules with an iron fist, locking away criminals in the Phantom Zone and reshaping Earth in his image; the other reveals Earth 2’s Superman, the last hero, who has done everything to protect the planet—until the Anti-Monitor’s arrival exposes the cost of isolation. Written by Joe Kelly and illustrated by Ed Benes and a team of standout artists, this pivotal 2006 issue explores the weight of power and responsibility with emotional depth and striking visuals, all framed by Phil Jimenez’s evocative cover.

While the two Supermen battle, they experience alternate versions of each others' lives. In one, Superman leads the charge to put all criminals in the Phantom Zone and control Earth with an iron hand. In another, the Superman of Earth 2 has taken care of everything to the point that he is the only super-hero, but he fails when the Anti-Monitor attacks in the Crisis.
