Luthor tries using the Kryptonian Sunstone battle cruiser to destroy Metropolis. But Superman says the city is under his protection. A battle begins, with Superman trying to distract Luthor while other heroes arrive. Luthor realizes this and shields the city from attacks from outside. Superman burns out the control center. Luthor engages Kryptonite weapons, and Superman falls. Jimmy shields Superman briefly, getting burned. Superman has one desperate rip through the ship, grabbing Luthor and the Sunstone. That disables the ship, but drains Superman's powers and they start to fall over the bay.
