Superman #652
In "Up, Up, and Away! Chapter Five Speeding Bullet," Clark struggles to reclaim his strength after a fall from a building, only to surprise Lois with his resilience when he walks unharmed through a kitchen fire. As the Daily Planet buzzes with news of his return, Intergang's Puzzler strikes, but Superman’s quick reflexes save the day—just as Jimmy’s report on the resurgence of Superman’s powers is interrupted by a sniper’s bullet, which the Man of Steel catches midair. Written by Kurt Busiek and Geoff Johns, with dynamic art by Pete Woods and striking cover by Terry Dodson and Rachel Dodson, this 2006 issue captures Superman’s fragile return with emotional weight and thrilling momentum.
