Superman #651
In "Up, Up, and Away! Chapter Three Bare Hands," Clark Kent faces a pivotal moment when Green Lantern and Hawkgirl bring him a Green Lantern ring—prompting him to consider a power beyond his own. As the Prankster wreaks havoc across Metropolis, chaos unfolds on multiple fronts: the Flea Circus frees the Kryptonite Man, Luthor gathers a growing arsenal of kryptonite, and Metallo is disabled as his core is removed. Written by Kurt Busiek and Geoff Johns, with art by Pete Woods and colors by Brad Anderson, this 2006 issue blends high-stakes action with Superman’s internal reckoning, all framed by Terry Dodson and Rachel Dodson’s dynamic cover.

Clark tries out a Green Lantern ring, brought to him by Green Lantern and Hawkgirl. Clark says he'll think about using it. The Prankster runs pranks throughout Metropolis, and Green Lantern and Hawkgirl respond. Meantime, the Flea Circus free the Kryptonite Man from Stryker's Island, bringing him to Luthor. With the Prankster's distraction complete, he escapes capture. Luthor and Toyman incapacitate Metallo, and take out his kryptonite heart, adding it to more kryptonite they've collected.
