Superman looks anything but invincible on this August 1976 cover, stumbling through a city street at enormous scale while a green-tentacled creature — Lex Luthor's doing, no doubt — blasts him point-blank and taunts that his "peanut-brain can't control your dinosaur-size body." The cover art by Ernie Chan and Bob Oksner captures a wonderfully unsettling image: the Man of Steel helpless and gigantic, panicking pedestrians scattering below as debris flies in every direction. With the story titled "Seven-Foot-Two... And Still Growing!" and Lex Luthor prominently featured, this one promises a genuinely clever twist on Superman's usual power dynamic.
