Zod has a vision of uniting the last surviving families of Krypton on the planet Jekuul, which will be christened New Krypton. The vision takes a turn for the worse when Rogol Zaar appears and slaughters the last Kryptonians. Zod awakens from the vision and heads to Earth the track down Zaar. He arrives as a shrunken Earth returns from the Phantom Zone and grows to its normal size. Zod then has the Atom use the Phantom Zone Projector to send him to the Zone. Meanwhile, in the Phantom Zone, Superman faces Zaar and the Phantom Zone villains.
