A massive, menacing creature dominates this August 1977 cover by Mike Grell, its enormous green form looming over a struggling Superboy and several Legion of Super-Heroes members — including figures in red and purple tumbling at its base, while a white-haired Legionnaire and a dark-clad companion are swept aside.
