Super Friends #39

The cover of Super Friends #39 says it all with a single gloriously absurd image: a menacing villain in a pink costume levels twin ray guns at Superman, Batman, Robin, Aquaman, and Wonder Woman — who are all far too preoccupied with snacks, knitting, reading, and cartoons to be bothered. The heroes' dismissive word balloons ("Don't interrupt the cartoons!") give this December 1980 DC issue an irresistible sense of humor that perfectly suits its all-ages audience. Ramona Fradon's pencils and Bob Smith's inks bring real charm to the gag, and the bonus Wonder Twins adventure teased in the header makes this an especially packed package.
