Hercule #1
"Sur la piste du cartel" kicks off with the Legion honoring Ultra Boy with a statue, unaware that the amnesiac Jo Nah—rescued by space pirates—has secretly joined their ranks. Written by Gerry Conway and illustrated by Steve Ditko, with inks by Frank Chiaramonte and colors by Gene D'Angelo, this issue follows the Legion’s pursuit of the pirates, whose true motives remain hidden. The cover by Dave Cockrum, inked by Dick Giordano, captures the tension of the chase.
In "Sur la piste du cartel," Wonder Woman tracks the Cartel to a hidden desert outpost, where she crosses paths with Animal-Man, a reluctant ally with a personal score to settle against the Prime Planner's Organization. The two unlikely figures must navigate a tense alliance as their separate missions converge in the scorching California sands.
In "Un homme à la dérive," Jo Nah—stranded and with no memory of who he is—finds himself caught between two worlds: the legacy of a fallen hero honored by the Legion and the ruthless life of a space pirate crew he’s now part of. As the Legion scrambles to stop a daring raid, they don’t know the man they’re hunting may be the very one they once mourned.
