“Menace of the Mixed-Up Senses!”

Wonder Woman is front and center on this January 1981 cover, handcuffed and being forced toward a police wagon as she protests her innocence — while Superman, Batman, Robin, and the rest of the Super Friends look on helplessly, knowing she's been framed but unable to prove it. The cover tagline promises "the wildest perils ever faced" by the team, courtesy of a madman whose scheme has apparently put Earth's greatest heroes in an impossible spot. Ramona Fradon and Bob Smith deliver a wonderfully dramatic street scene, and there's even a bonus Jack O'Lantern backup adventure set at Blarney Castle to sweeten the deal.
