Who is Briscoe?

Briscoe served as the Suicide Squad's helicopter pilot, a skilled military specialist providing crucial aerial transport and support for the covert Task Force X. Operating behind the scenes of Amanda Waller's dangerous government operations, he kept the squad mobile across their high-risk missions.

Briscoe made their DC debut in the very first issue of the landmark 1987 Suicide Squad series, born from the creative partnership of John Ostrander and Luke McDonnell at the dawn of comics' Copper Age. That debut alone is the stuff of collector legend — Suicide Squad #1 is one of the defining books of its era, and Briscoe shares those pages with a remarkable cast including Green Lantern, Captain Boomerang, and the mystical Enchantress. A compact but notable presence also catalogued in Who's Who: Update '87, Briscoe is a genuine piece of DC history for anyone who loves the gritty, morally complex storytelling that made this era so electric.
