Strange Tales #166
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeFrom 1968, this Marvel double-header puts Doctor Strange front and center as he hurls a blazing bolt of magical energy against the massive, hulking robot Voltorg — a mechanical giant whose sheer scale and armored bulk make the Sorcerer Supreme look almost small by comparison. The cover, penciled and inked by Dan Adkins, crackles with kinetic energy as Strange's crimson Cloak of Levitation billows dramatically behind him, lightning-like beams radiating outward from the conflict. It's a vivid snapshot of Silver Age Marvel at its most imaginative, with Jim Steranko writing, illustrating, coloring, and Joe Sinnott inking the interior story.
