“The Case of the Looney London Adventure”

In "The Case of the Looney London Adventure," Top Dog’s life takes a surprising turn when an accident leaves him with amnesia—forgetting even that he can talk—before being adopted by the Wilsons. Though he’s now living a quiet life as a dog, his sharp mind doesn’t go unnoticed, and he’s soon thrust into the spotlight as the unlikely face of Gummy Yummies dog food. Meanwhile, his old friend Joey is left heartbroken, believing Top Dog has abandoned him. Written by Dave Manak and illustrated by Warren Kremer, with inks by Jacqueline Roettcher and Jon D’Agostino, colors by George Roussos, and letters by Grace Kremer, this 1987 issue blends humor and heart in a story where identity and loyalty are tested—on a very furry level.
