Gonzo
Gonzo is the lovably bizarre, stunt-obsessed Muppet Baby who appears alongside Kermit, Miss Piggy, and Fozzie Bear in Marvel's Star Comics imprint, aimed at younger readers. His comic adventures capture the same anarchic, anything-for-a-laugh personality fans know from his Muppet counterpart.
Few characters bring quite the same chaotic charm to the comics page as Gonzo, who made his four-color debut in Muppet Babies #2 back in 1985, courtesy of Stan Kay and the legendary Marie Severin during Marvel's Bronze Age. Published under Marvel's delightful Star Comics imprint β a line aimed squarely at younger readers β Gonzo shares his adventures with beloved company including Kermit, Piggy, Fozzie Bear, and the Nutmeg family. It's a compact but genuinely fun corner of the Marvel catalog, and for collectors with a soft spot for Star Comics or the Muppets' multimedia heyday of the mid-eighties, tracking down these cheerful issues is an absolute treat.
