In "Frankenstien and his Monster," a slave ship bound for America meets a grim fate when its captain, Jorkin, orders the enslaved aboard to be dumped into the sea upon detection by the U.S. Coast Guard. The vessel, now adrift and cursed with its own dead, is suddenly intercepted by a mysterious silvery craft that paralyzes the crew and transports them—along with their captives—into an alien vessel, where they discover they’ve become the new cargo of a galactic slave trade. Written by Bill Gaines and Al Feldstein, with stark, haunting art by Bernie Krigstein and lettering by Jim Wroten, this chilling tale from 1970 turns the horrors of human exploitation into a cosmic nightmare.
