“The Vault Keeper”

In "The Vault Keeper," a group of space explorers investigate a mysterious planetoid, only to be overwhelmed by tiny, insect-sized inhabitants and swarms of stinging, flying objects—until the shocking truth reveals they’re not aliens at all, but Earth itself, seen from a radically unfamiliar perspective. Written by Bill Gaines and Al Feldstein, with dynamic art by Al Williamson and inks by George Evans, this 1974 tale delivers a mind-bending twist rooted in scale and perspective. The cover by Wallace Wood captures the eerie, otherworldly tension of the discovery.
