Spider-Man / Red Sonja #2

The cover by Michael Turner (pencils) and Mark Roslan (inks) sets an electric tone for this second chapter of the five-issue Marvel/Dynamite crossover: Red Sonja dominates the rooftop scene, sword raised high and fiery hair whipping in the wind, while a crouching Spider-Man eyes her with obvious wariness against a smoldering city skyline. It's a striking image that captures just how uneasy this partnership can be when a she-devil with a sword meets a wall-crawler from a very different world. With writing by Michael Avon Oeming, art by Mel Rubi, and colors by Brian Buccellato, the series continues to deliver an unlikely but genuinely compelling team-up.
