“Sword of the She-Devil”

In "Sword of the She-Devil," a desperate politician's curiosity unleashes the ancient sorcerer Kulan Gath upon modern New York, turning the city into a medieval nightmare. Spider-Man, one of the few untouched by the transformation, races to the Metropolitan Museum to uncover the source—only to find Mary Jane scaling its side, seizing a mystical blade that ignites her into Red Sonja. Written by Michael Avon Oeming and illustrated by Mel Rubi, with colors by Brian Buccellato and letters by Simon Bowland, this 2008 crossover blends cosmic horror and mythic fantasy, all framed by a striking cover by Michael Turner and Mark Roslan.
