A fed up politician puts on an ancient necklace at a museum exhibit opening and releases Kulan Gath on the modern world. Gath immediately begins to transform New York into a medieval city and Spider-Man finds himself one of the few people who has not been affected. Spidey heads for the Met to find the source of the problem and discovers Mary Jane is climbing up the side of the building. When she reaches the top, she grabs a mystical sword which transforms her into Red Sonja.
