Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane #1
In "The Boyfriend Thing," Peter Parker faces tension at school as Flash's jealousy turns to bullying, while Mary Jane navigates her first big audition for a Shakespeare play, finding unexpected friendship in the drama class. When she glimpses Spider-Man and Firestar fighting at night, her world shifts—especially when she confronts Flash about his treatment of Peter, only to be rejected with a cold dismissal. The story unfolds with emotional stakes and quiet moments, all drawn with warmth and precision by Takeshi Miyazawa, whose expressive art captures the awkward beauty of teenage connection. The cover by Miyazawa and Norman Lee perfectly frames the moment’s tension and longing.
