Spider-Boy #11 was written by Dan Slott with art, inks, and cover by Paco Medina, colors by Erick Arciniega, letters by VC's Joe Caramagna, and editing by Nick Lowe, maintaining the same core creative team that had driven the series since its November 2023 launch. The solo series itself grew out of Slott and Mark Bagley's Spider-Man run, where Bailey Briggs debuted in 2023's Spider-Man #7; Slott has described the character's central conceit — a sidekick nobody remembers — as a deliberate editorial what-if that he and his editor developed collaboratively. Issue #11, published September 4, 2024, opened what Marvel's own solicitation framed as a new chapter with fresh cast members, reflecting a deliberate story-arc break designed to welcome new readers.
