Space Adventures #35

This 1960 Charlton gem features a striking Steve Ditko cover split between two vivid scenes: on the left, a caped figure in a yellow costume soars dynamically through space alongside a great bird, while on the right, a trio of sinister-looking alien conspirators huddle together, one announcing their imminent invasion of Planet Earth — teasing the "Spies from Another World" story within. The issue also promises more of Captain Atom and "The Little Wanderer," making it a genuinely packed read from one of comics' most distinctive artistic voices. With Ditko's crisp linework setting the cosmic stakes and Joe Gill's scripts driving the action, this is a fine example of early-1960s sci-fi adventure firing on all cylinders.
