Sonic Universe #90

The four-part "Shattered" arc reaches its finale in Sonic Universe #90, and Tracy Yardley's cover sets the stakes beautifully — a massive, snarling dragon-like beast looms over a giant Master Emerald, within which several small characters are trapped, their expressions urgent and desperate. It's a striking visual that captures both the grandeur and the peril of a "Battle for the Master Emerald." With Ian Flynn scripting and Adam Bryce Thomas on interior art, this 2016 Archie Comics release is a satisfying capstone to one of Sonic Universe's more gem-fueled adventures.
