Sonic Universe #60

Part two of the "Shadow Fall" arc lands with a cover that throws the question right in your face — "Shadow Gone Evil?!" — as a darkly armored Shadow looms with glowing green energy crackling at his fist, squaring off against a large, battle-damaged robot soldier while Rouge the Bat scrambles in the foreground. Tracy Yardley's pencils and Jim Amash's inks give the scene a sharp, kinetic energy that makes the tension between these three figures feel genuinely charged. Ian Flynn's script, brought to life by Jamal Peppers inside, promises to dig deeper into whatever has Shadow standing on the wrong side of the line in this 2014 Archie Comics thriller.
