Sonic Universe #43

Part three of the "Secret Freedom" arc arrives with a cover packed with tension — Silver the Hedgehog squares off at the center, flanked by a menacing armored figure wielding a glowing cannon, while a small deer-like character scrambles below and a determined skunk readies for a fight in front of a castle backdrop. Tracy Yardley's pencils and Jim Amash's inks give every character a charged, coiled energy that makes the "Covert Chaos" tagline feel well earned. Ian Flynn's writing drives this four-part story, and this 2012 Archie Comics issue promises the kind of undercover action the cover's tightly wound cast is clearly bracing for.
