Solo Avengers #3

This 1988 Marvel dual-feature showcase splits its cover beautifully between two high-energy confrontations: up top, Hawkeye clashes with the acrobatic Batroc the Leaper amid a tangle of steel girders, arrows drawn and a flying kick coming in fast, while the lower half places Moon Knight squaring off against the shadowy Shroud, Master of Darkness. Cover art by Bob Hall and Stan Drake gives both matchups a crisp, kinetic energy that makes the anthology format feel like a real event rather than filler.
