Ferdinand Lopez
Ferdinand Lopez is a mercenary operative and member of Batroc's Brigade, the team of hired guns led by the French savate master Georges Batroc. He runs in dangerous company alongside fellow mercenaries Machete and Zaran, frequently clashing with Captain America.
Ferdinand Lopez made his Marvel debut in Solo Avengers #3 in 1988 β a Copper Age arrival courtesy of Tom DeFalco and Mark D. Bright β and has carved out a persistent niche in the rougher corners of the Marvel Universe as a member of Batroc's Brigade. Over roughly three decades of appearances, he's kept genuinely dangerous company, sharing pages with the likes of Georges Batroc, Machete, Maximillian Zaran, and none other than Captain America himself, making Captain America the natural home for most of his catalog presence. With 14 appearances including one collector-recognized key issue and a publishing footprint stretching all the way to 2018, Lopez is exactly the kind of tenacious supporting player that rewards deep-dive readers who want to know every corner of Marvel's action-thriller landscape.
