This issue contains two stories: "The Timid Turk," in which a man named Lin Todd comes to Tombstone seeking the outlaw who killed his brother Flick, a former gunman and gang member, and discovers that the murderer was one of Flick's own criminal associates; and "Boots and Saddles," a non-fiction article narrated by a woman who was the wife of a famous Western officer, recounting the daily life and experiences of enlisted men and their horses at a military post during the early settlement days of the American West.
