Shadowpact #21

The ominous tagline "This Is All That's Left Of… Shadowpact" says plenty about the dire state of DC's supernatural team in this March 2008 installment. Tom Derenick and Wayne Faucher's cover delivers a striking image of a feral, long-haired demonic figure — fangs bared, claws extended, eyes burning yellow — lunging forward against a backdrop of roiling flames while clutching what appears to be a tattered costume. Matthew Sturges continues "A Virus of the Mind" here, and if this cover is any indication, whatever has been unleashed threatens to leave the Shadowpact unrecognizable.
