This Milestone/DC title delivers the conclusion to the "Father's Day" arc with a striking cover by John Paul Leon and Shawn Martinbrough that puts a blonde, armored archer front and center, loosing an arrow while a flock of dark birds swirls around her and a cluster of hulking, animalistic figures closes in from below. A brooding, bearded face looms at the top of the cover, hinting at the paternal tension embedded in the story title "Animal Rites." With the full creative team of Matt Wayne, John Paul Leon, Shawn Martinbrough, Julia Lacquement, and Steve Dutro on board, this 1994 issue wraps up one of the Shadow Cabinet's more atmospheric storylines in genuinely compelling fashion.
