The photorealistic image focuses on a gleaming gold coin held between gloved fingers hovering over what appears to be the perforated barrel of a gun or cannon — all rendered in warm, atmospheric golden tones that feel both intimate and ominous. With Seagle, Wagner, Lark, and Case on the creative team, this December 1997 Vertigo title continues to deliver the pulp noir atmosphere the series does so well.
