Part of DC's sprawling "No Man's Land" crossover event of 2000, this issue drops Robin straight into the jaws of danger — literally. Jason Pearson's cover captures the Boy Wonder locked in a desperate, mid-air struggle with a massive, drooling creature whose gaping maw dominates the lower left, all framed by coils of barbed wire that drive home the lawless, post-catastrophe Gotham setting. With Chuck Dixon writing and the art team of Gordon Purcell and Wayne Faucher bringing "Last Stand on Grand Ave" to life inside, this is Tim Drake pushed to his absolute limits in one of Gotham's darkest chapters.
