Part five of eight in the "War Games: Act One" crossover, this October 2004 issue puts Tim Drake front and center — his civilian face tense and rain-drenched in the foreground, while his Robin costume and mask are visible reflected in the locker behind him, alongside the shadowy figure of a gun-toting man in a fedora. Dustin Nguyen's cover art brilliantly captures a young hero caught between two worlds, the contrast between Tim's hooded street clothes and the crimson-and-green costume glimpsed in the reflection doing a lot of quiet storytelling. With Bill Willingham writing and Giuseppe Camuncoli and Lorenzo Ruggiero handling interior art, this is a compelling chapter in one of Gotham's most ambitious gang-war storylines.
