Part three of the five-part "World Without Robin" arc arrives in this 2002 DC issue, and the cover — penciled by Humberto Ramos and inked by Wayne Faucher — makes an immediate impression: a female Robin in the classic red-and-green costume swings dynamically along a brick building, auburn hair flying beneath her mask, while a reflection in the window behind her reveals a gray-suited figure mid-action. The contrast between the spirited newcomer in the Robin mantle and that ghostly reflected presence gives the image a genuinely intriguing tension. With Jon Lewis writing and Rebecca Woods on interior art, "Altered States" looks like a compelling chapter in this reality-bending storyline.
