Punisher #5
This March 1996 Marvel Edge issue presents a striking close-up of a heavily armored, cybernetically enhanced figure whose face dominates the frame — a skull emblem prominently mounted on the headgear, wires trailing from the device, and crackling pink energy surging in the foreground. The cover by penciler Tom Lyle and inker Chris Ivy bathes the entire image in a tense red atmosphere, giving the antagonist a menacing, almost unstoppable presence that suits the story's "Firepower!" title perfectly. With John Ostrander writing and Pat Broderick on interior art, this is a solid chapter in the Punisher's mid-'90s run that fans of gritty, high-stakes action will want on their shelf.
