Power Girl #7

Power Girl looks decidedly unimpressed as a fallen costumed figure lies across her lap and the barrel-chested, muscle-bound Vartox of Valeron looms behind them both, fist raised and speech bubble declaring he's here as her mate — setting up what the story title "Lust in Space!" promises will be a wonderfully absurd cosmic courtship. Amanda Conner's cover work crackles with personality, balancing genuine tension with an undeniable comedic edge that made this Gray and Palmiotti run such a treat. Issue #7 is a fine snapshot of why this series earned so much affection from DC readers in 2010.
