Poderosos Heróis Marvel #7
"Caixa Fantasma - Capítulo 1" introduces a pivotal moment for the X-Men as they settle into their new base in São Francisco, with Storm arriving to assess their methods—financed by T'Challa—while adapting her look to ease public tension. As the team, now in more traditional costumes, responds to a bizarre case of a burning body, clues lead them to the eerie ruins of Chaparanga Beach, the graveyard of alien ships. Written by Warren Ellis, José de Freitas, and Filipe Faria, with art by Simone Bianchi and colors by Simone Peruzzi, this issue blends espionage and mystery under a striking cover by Lee Bermejo.
In "Caixa Fantasma - Capítulo 1," the X-Men settle into their new base in San Francisco, where Storm arrives with a purpose: she’s been tasked by T’Challa to assess the team’s methods, now that she’s helping fund them. Dressed in casual, anti-superhero sentiment attire, she joins the team as they respond to a bizarre police alert about a body burning in the city—leading them, now in more traditional hero gear, to the wreckage-strewn shores of Chaparanga Beach, the graveyard of alien ships.
In "Caixa Fantasma - Capítulo 2," the X-Men track a mysterious assassin to a half-functional spaceship on Chapanga Beach, where they confront a man working on a device he calls the Ghost Box. After a tense battle, Cyclops orders the team to evacuate and asks Storm to destroy the ship with lightning, leaving her shaken by the cost—though the man survives, choosing silence over answers, only whispering of an "Annex" before the flames consume the vessel.
In "Caixa Fantasma - Capítulo 3," the X-Men confront the mystery of a strange box found at Chapanga Beach, leading them to Agent Brand and the revelation of a Ghost Box—a device for crossing into parallel worlds. With the coordinates from their notebook pointing to the mysterious Dead Five Miles in China, the team ventures into the uncharted zone, only to uncover a hidden sanctuary where long-dead mutants from M-Day may still linger.
In "Anexação da Terra 616: Relato do Agente X-13," the mission takes a chilling turn when the agent chooses to eliminate Cyclops first, triggering the swift collapse of the X-Men. As Deathlok-class units—resembling Sentinels and bearing a shocking link to Magneto—overwhelm Earth with brutal efficiency, Jo remains detached, viewing the devastation as just another operation.
In a steampunk Victorian alternate Earth, Emma Frost leads the X-Society in New Portsmouth, where a mysterious fiery corpse leads them to a shocking encounter with X-13—only for a clash between Logan’s claws and Emma’s flames to trigger a catastrophic explosion and the fall of a dirigible. Now branded enemies by the public and hunted by mechanical sentinels, Emma weighs a drastic change: a new life in Europe, perhaps even a future with Scott.
