Astonishing X-Men #26
In "Ghost Box Part Two," the Astonishing X-Men close in on a mysterious killer at a derelict spaceship on Chapanga Beach, where he's been constructing a device known as the Ghost Box. As tensions rise, Cyclops makes a brutal call to destroy the ship with Storm’s lightning—leaving her shaken by the cost of the order, even as the man survives, choosing silence over answers and whispering only of "the Annex." Warren Ellis crafts a tense, morally charged showdown, rendered in haunting detail by Simone Bianchi, whose striking interior art—enhanced by Andrea Silvestri’s inks and Simone Peruzzi’s colors—gives the alien ship a weighty, eerie presence. The cover by Bianchi captures the moment’s dread with a chilling, cinematic intensity.

The X-Men track the killer to a semi-functional spaceship at Chapanga Beach. They find the man working on something he calls a Ghost Box. After a difficult fight Cyclops orders the team out of the ship and has Storm shoot it down with lightning. Storm is distressed that Cyclops's orders might have resulted in her killing the man, but Cyclops is unapologetic. The man is still alive, but chooses death rather than revealing more about his purposes beyond referring to "the Annex".
