Pep #185 brings the whole Riverdale gang to the waterfront for some summer fun, with the cover by Samm Schwartz delivering a perfectly timed two-panel gag: Archie struggles to start a motorboat while Betty and Veronica wait impatiently dockside — then, inevitably, the trio ends up soaked as the boat lurches into chaotic motion. The bright yellow cover and the gang's carefree poses across the top capture that breezy, sun-soaked spirit that made Archie Series comics such a reliable delight in 1965. Inside, Frank Doyle's writing teams with Dan DeCarlo and Vincent DeCarlo's art for what promises to be another winning round of Riverdale comedy.
