This August 1965 Archie Series entry delivers exactly the kind of lighthearted comedy the title does so well — a two-panel cover gag in which Veronica sighs romantically about Archie and Reggie dueling over her, only for the "duel" to be revealed as a whipped-cream skirmish, with Archie gleefully blasting away while Betty, Veronica, and Reggie look on in varying states of amusement and alarm. Bob White's pencils bring the suburban Riverdale setting to life with crisp, expressive character work that captures every raised eyebrow and splattered reaction. "Storm Center" promises the perfectly timed humor that made Pep a reliable treat for a dozen cents.
