Nightwing #83

The cover of Nightwing #83 tells its own layered story: a clever visual sequence shows Dick Grayson moving through a multi-level fire escape structure — from a suited figure addressing a crowd at street level, through a series of increasingly athletic poses as he sheds his civilian clothes, all the way to the top where Nightwing leaps into action in full costume. Bruno Redondo's design work here is genuinely inventive, using the building's scaffolding as a kind of comic-strip panel grid to map Dick's transformation in a single striking image. Tom Taylor and Redondo's Nightwing run has been a treat, and this "Leaping Into the Light Part 6" installment looks to keep that momentum going strong.
