Nightwing #43

Jorge Jiménez's cover for Nightwing #43 perfectly captures the comedic tension of the issue's title, "The Noble, the Obnoxious & the Inept" — a visibly pained Dick Grayson grips his head in exasperation above a chaotic brawl where Robin and Red Arrow are throwing themselves headlong into the fray, defiantly shouting "We're Fine!!" while he asks if they need any help. The split composition, cool blues framing Dick's anguished expression above the fiery, action-packed lower half, does a wonderful job selling both the humor and the high-stakes energy of the Bat-family dynamic. With Michael Moreci writing and Minkyu Jung on art, this 2018 installment looks like a genuinely fun ride through some gloriously stubborn teamwork.
